No. The web interface is simple for anyone: just create spaces, add memories, search, and chat. For connecting to external AI systems, we offer both easy remote connectors (works everywhere, minimal setup) and local MCP for more technical users to use with coding IDEs like Cursor, VSCode or other similar tools. Plus we're here to help if you have any difficulties.

Intangle works with ChatGPT & Claude apps (web, desktop, mobile), Cursor, VSCode and ANY other system that supports MCP or Connectors. Remote connectors are a newer approach with minimal setup that works across devices and local MCP (only works on the device its installed on) for legacy support of most technical tools. MCP & Connectors are still an emerging space and one of our primary focuses is ensuring we can continue to allow you to connect your memory to any new compatible systems.

Yes. Intangle works with any AI system through MCP (Model Context Protocol) or Connectors (streamlined, user-friendly MCP). We offer easy remote connectors that work anywhere with minimal setup, plus local (classic) MCP for a more expansive range of tools. You can configure instructions for agents in each space when they connect, we also provide a copy-paste system prompt to ensure your agents immediately know what Intangle is and how to use it effectively.

Spaces are isolated areas for different memories: Personal, Work, Client A, Client B, Research Project, etc. Memories in one space never leak into another, so your AI doesn't confuse your personal life with client work. Perfect for for anyone juggling multiple project, roles or priorities.

Memories are general knowledge and information: facts, preferences, context, experiences. Tasks are actionable items with status tracking (pending/in progress/completed). Both live in the same space, so your AI understands relationships: "This task relates to that project memory." Think of it as knowledge plus workflow in one system. We have a simple interface for viewing and managing tasks in the Intangle App, however the real power comes from having one or more connected tools utilizing tasks.
